Summary
As hailed by newspapers as the next groundbreaking sensation in French horror, expectations soared, given France's history of delivering the goriest flicks of its time. You know the ones I'm talking about. Intriguingly frightened by the trailers and positive buzz, I eagerly dived into the series. The first episode proved exceptional, setting a chilling atmosphere and employing a classic score that intensified the terror to the maximum. However, as I ventured into the second episode, a drastic shift occurred. The eerie and gory elements that had captivated me in the initial installment were replaced by lengthy dialogues, typical of French films or series. Consequently, my excitement waned, and the series became rather disappointing, losing its gory appeal from the first episode. It's not entirely terrible, with some creepy moments scattered throughout, but the excessive talking made it a bit challenging to fully enjoy.
