Summary
HULU's anthology series features a collection of short horror movies. While some of them prove to be intriguing, others fall into the realm of predictability and boredom. The series comprises 12 episodes, typically timed for holiday periods such as Christmas or Thanksgiving Day, often with themes related to these festivities. The pilot episode was decent, but it failed to captivate me fully. It would have been wiser for the network to start with something more engaging, like the "Pooka!" episode, which, in my opinion, stands out as one of the best due to its unexpected ending. Despite a few exceptional episodes, most of them rely heavily on clichu00e9s, and the truly remarkable ones are rare gems. Certain topics, such as gender discrimination and physical and mental abuse, appear too frequently and can feel overwhelming.
