Summary
This is a contemporary horror movie set in the 70s or 80s, with a directorial approach inspired by Ti West, which I find appealing. Unlike many of today's disappointing horror films, this one stands out by honoring the classics while still striving to be distinctive. Throughout the entire film, you'll notice numerous nods to classic horror elements, such as the retro-styled opening titles, the babysitter trope, and themes of Satanism. The music score even pays homage to the iconic Halloween soundtrack in some parts, adding to the overall nostalgic experience.
