Summary
Despite the film's complex narrative, its convoluted nature left me feeling perplexed rather than engaged. While intricate plots can be captivating, in this case, it felt needlessly puzzling. The eventual twist lacked the impact I had hoped for, appearing more peculiar than mind-blowing. Regrettably, the horror elements failed to deliver as well. Though the eye designs were commendable, the other frightful effects fell short, lacking the desired scare factor. The movie noticeably shied away from gore, using quick edits to avoid showing blood, which diminished the potential for genuine terror. Additionally, the twisted-neck effects seemed cheap and unimpressive, and the attempt to create a creepy smile for one character only resulted in something reminiscent of a clown.
