Summary
This, right here, is the epitome of horror. By the end of this film, I was overwhelmed with dread, shock, and discomfort, and that's precisely why it deserves the highest rating. It accomplishes what every great horror movie aims to achieve. Normally, when children are involved in a horror film, it often suggests a more cautious and tamer approach. In this case, there were two kids, and I was curious to test this theory. To my surprise, the film shattered those expectations. It fearlessly pushes boundaries, and that's something I truly admire. Prepare to be frustrated by the characters in this movie. Personally, I can't imagine ever visiting another couple I barely knew, not in a million years. But if, by some chance, I found myself in such a situation, I'd have left long before they even considered it. European horror has a track record of delving into realms that American horror tends to avoid. This exceptional film is not for the faint-hearted, but if you're up for it, you're in for a remarkable treat.
