Summary
Amidst a sea of horror films that revel in extreme violence and human malevolence like the infamous "Saw" and "Hostel" franchises, French director Pascal Laugier's "Martyrs" stands out as a true force to be reckoned with. It masterfully combines artistic depravity and sheer terror, surpassing any other "torture porn" I've witnessed. But "Martyrs" is not just a movie; it's an all-encompassing experience that transcends the boundaries of traditional horror.
