Based on one of Barker's Books of Blood short stories, The Midnight Meat Train follows the journey of Bradley Cooper's character, NY photographer Leon. While going about his business, Leon accidentally stumbles upon the existence of a ruthless killer named Mahogany (portrayed by Vinnie Jones), who preys on unsuspecting passengers in the subway after 2.00 am. As Leon delves deeper into the horrifying reality of Mahogany's acts, he captures them through his camera lens, but this obsession takes a toll on his sanity and endangers the lives of those he holds dear.
